Ekas breaks under many conditions. Choose our high-quality rights, long winding lefts or the beginners’ sand bar right in front of the resort. The rides can be over 300 m.
“Insides” is best known as a left and right A-frame peak. You can watch every wave from the restaurant. “Outsides” is more powerful. In front of our surf shop are Lombok’s only beginner surfing waves on a left and right “Sand Bar” peak which is ideal for learning. Planet beach hosts an amazing fast left on big swells.
The best timing is only shared with our guests, including our amazing wet season waves. Come and visit … we’ll get you surfing at the best times. Our surf shop has over 30 boards, SUPs, kayaks and skis which are all free for our special Platinum Package guests.
Walk out at low tide or take one of our surfboats. There’s no better feeling than jumping off the boat for a perfect remote surf.We have waves all year round, including the amazing wet season in February/March. In large swells, one newly-discovered hollow right winds over 800 m down the reef on the open coast … not yet surfed!
The surfing is a focus for many guests who come back year after year to enjoy the perfect waves and the comradery. The feeling might be described as “tired bliss”, which can always be fixed by a Bintang and a massage … or maybe just one more surf before the arms stop working.
