For Kite or Windsurfing in a beautiful, remote location, with flat water and both safe and difficult waves, Heaven on the Planet is ideal. Wind sports are very popular in eastern Indonesia because of the reliable south-east trades blowing at 18 knots or more virtually every day from early May to late October.
Kilometres of nearby reefs just south of the Resort have been highly praised for their combination of alongshore winds over broad lagoons with bold offshore surf breaks. Winds are offshore at the Ekas Bay surf breaks. Our transport will deliver you to the South where you can meet an instructor, if wanted.
The broad gaps (passages) in the reef are ideal for escaping offshore to ride back over the reef crest through the surf back into the lagoon. The wide sandy beaches are ideal for launching.
Ekas Bay has an amazing broad bombie perfectly lined up for wave-riding. After breaking, the waves go into deep water making it an exceptional place. For the flat water speed riders, the Bay is broad and there are many great destinations.

For the kiters, we have friends nearby who can provide training and equipment. For the wind surfers, we have only one good set of equipment. We had many breakages and there were simply too many sail types and sizes to meet the needs of all guests. Club bookings are available if you have your own equipment. We’d love to help
